It's interesting how one's interest in a country's news picks up when one's cherished son is hiking in that country. As Brad sets out tomorrow morning with Wellington in his sights, there's a report of a tragic hot-air-balloon-crash in a small town, Carterton, close to Wellington. Eleven people were killed when a balloon caught fire. Carterton is 50 miles NE of Wellington.
