A particularly poignant film for Ed and I was The Way which we saw recently at our local theater, The Clyde. The Way is the story of a father who hiked the El Camino de Santiago from France to Spain with the ashes of his son. His son, Daniel, was killed on his first day of hiking the trail.
With Brad off hiking the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand we, naturally, fear for his safety, but are excited for his adventures.
I highly recommend The Way, especially if you have thru-hikers in your family.
